This card went out in April. I had the idea in November, but something about it didn't sit right, so I kept entertaining alternatives. As is often the case with creative projects, self-doubt leads down a long and windy road that takes you back to where you started. I can't say the idea was any stronger when I came back to it, but I had warmed up to it a bit more. The green background was provided by one of my daughter's yoga mat. I shot the image with all three girls' mats (purple, pink, green) and the resulting images all looked good for different reasons. I went with the green as it is a color that doesn't show up much in previous cards.
