Carl Kassell's Voice on my Answering Machine
My good friend Tom Luthy surprised me by submitting my name to be the Wait Wait Don't Tell Me (the NPR news quiz show) play-at-home contestant. Film composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Tangled) was the celebrity who played on my behalf. Even though he lost the game, the kind folks at WWDTM gave me the prize anyway: Carl Kassell's voice on my home answering machine.
